This week, Diego, my loyal German Shepherd, truly showed me just how much he’s grown. During our daily walks, he was on his best behavior, walking calmly by my side without tugging at the leash. There were plenty of distractions from other dogs, squirrels, and bustling streets, but Diego remained focused and followed my cues effortlessly. It was a reminder of how much progress he’s made in his training, and I couldn’t be prouder.

Diego’s protective instincts were also on display this week. When we had visitors at the house, he was cautious but friendly, quickly assessing the situation and ensuring everyone felt welcome. He’s always been a little wary of strangers, but his balanced approach to new people shows just how well he can read situations. It’s a great feeling knowing he’s both protective and trusting at the same time.

Of course, no week would be complete without some playful moments, and Diego didn’t disappoint. After our walks, he had his usual zoomies, racing around the yard like a goofy puppy. His energy and joy are contagious, and I love seeing him so happy. Whether he’s being calm and composed or full of excitement, Diego proves once again that he’s the best companion I could ask for.
